Karley is an undergraduate researcher in the Goff Lab, studying Environmental Resource Engineering at SUNY ESF. Their laboratory experience includes upstream and downstream monoclonal antibody research, where they focused on viability and titer assays, utilizing bioreactors and fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC). Karley also has environmental monitoring field experience via regulating landfill gas emissions and leachate systems, and served as a canvass director with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, advocating for environmental policy at the state and federal level. They co-authored a study on the effects of natural versus synthetic fertilizer on plant growth and aquatic life, presented at the 2024 SJU Sigma Xi Research Symposium.
